Your business should not stop because your connection did. Here is what offline-first means in practice.

The terminal holds its own data

Products, prices, customers, stock positions and settings live on the machine at your counter. A sale reads and writes locally, so nothing in the billing flow waits on a server response.

Sales complete without a connection

Scanning, billing, discounting, printing, returns and stock updates all work with the network unplugged. There is no queue of "pending" transactions holding up the counter.

Terminals reconcile when connectivity returns

When the shop network or internet comes back, terminals exchange the transactions recorded while they were isolated, and the back office reflects the complete picture.

Connectivity is used, not depended on

When you do have a connection, it powers off-site backup, remote reporting and multi-branch consolidation. None of those are required to make a sale.

A restaurant cannot pause service because a connection dropped. Restaurant POS runs on your own machines. Order taking, kitchen tickets, table management, billing and printing all work locally. Cloud sync, when available, is used for consolidated reporting and backup, never as a precondition for taking the next order.

Can it handle dine-in, takeaway and delivery at the same time?

Yes. All three order types run on one screen and share the same kitchen queue, so the kitchen sees a single sequenced list rather than three competing streams.

Do I need a kitchen display screen, or can I print tickets?

Either. Many kitchens prefer printed tickets routed by section, kitchen, grill, bar, while others use a display screen. Both are supported, and you can use printing in one section and a screen in another.

Can I split a bill between customers?

Yes. Bills can be split by item or by amount, and each part can be settled with a different payment method.

Does it track ingredient stock?

Yes. Recipes link menu items to ingredients, so selling a dish consumes the ingredients from stock and gives you a real cost and margin per plate.

How does shift closing work?

Each staff member opens a shift with a counted float and closes it with a counted total. The system shows expected versus counted cash and records the variance against that shift, along with all discounts and voids made during it.

Will orders continue if the internet fails during dinner service?

Yes. Everything needed to take orders, print kitchen tickets and settle bills runs on your local machines. An internet outage affects remote reporting only.

Can we take orders from aggregators?

Yes. Aggregator orders can be entered and tracked as their own order type, so their share of sales and their effect on kitchen load is visible in reporting.
