The problem
What salons struggle to control
Salons sell time, skill and product simultaneously, and almost all of the operational difficulty comes from attributing revenue correctly.
Commission calculated by hand
At month end someone reconstructs who did what from a day book. It takes hours, it is frequently disputed, and staff lose trust in the numbers.
Appointments in a diary
Double bookings, forgotten appointments and no-shows all follow from a paper diary that only one person can see at a time.
Packages sold and forgotten
A customer pays in advance for ten sessions. Tracking how many remain, across dozens of clients, is impossible without a system.
Consumables that disappear
Colour, bleach, wax and shampoo are consumed during services. Without linking usage to services, that stock simply vanishes.
No client history
The colour formula used last time, or the stylist a client prefers, exists only in one person’s memory.
Why this solution
Why salons choose OfflinePOS
Salon POS is built around the staff member and the client, not just the transaction, because in a salon those two things determine repeat business and payroll.
- Every service line attributed to the staff member who performed it
- Commission rules by service, by staff and by tier
- Appointment calendar visible to the whole team
- Packages and memberships tracked session by session
- Consumable stock linked to services performed
- Client history including preferences and past services
Built for salon businesses
A salon bill is rarely just a service. It is a service performed by a specific staff member, sometimes drawn from a package, plus a product sold at the counter. Salon POS handles all of it and tracks who earned what.

How it works
A day in the system
- 01
Set up services and staff
Define your service menu with durations and prices, and set commission rules per staff member and service category.
- 02
Book the appointment
Schedule against a specific staff member, with slots sized by service duration. Walk-ins are added to the same view.
- 03
Perform and record
Each service line is attributed to the staff member who performed it, and consumables are deducted from stock.
- 04
Bill everything together
Services, packages and retail products settle on a single bill with any payment method.
- 05
Track packages
Package sessions are drawn down as they are used, with the remaining balance visible on the client profile.
- 06
Pay commission
At month end, generate staff-wise commission statements from the recorded attribution, no reconstruction required.
Reporting
The numbers you will actually look at
Reports run against your local database, so they open instantly and work whether or not you have a connection.
- Staff-wise revenue and commission
- Service category performance
- Daily and monthly sales summary
- Client visit frequency and retention
- Package sales and outstanding sessions
- Retail product sales and margin
- Consumable usage and stock position
- Appointment utilisation by staff
- No-show and cancellation report
- Cash and payment method summary
Salon POS keeps working when the internet does not
Your business should not stop because your connection did. Here is what offline-first means in practice.
The terminal holds its own data
Products, prices, customers, stock positions and settings live on the machine at your counter. A sale reads and writes locally, so nothing in the billing flow waits on a server response.
Sales complete without a connection
Scanning, billing, discounting, printing, returns and stock updates all work with the network unplugged. There is no queue of "pending" transactions holding up the counter.
Terminals reconcile when connectivity returns
When the shop network or internet comes back, terminals exchange the transactions recorded while they were isolated, and the back office reflects the complete picture.
Connectivity is used, not depended on
When you do have a connection, it powers off-site backup, remote reporting and multi-branch consolidation. None of those are required to make a sale.
Salon POS runs on the machine at your reception. Appointments, billing, package redemption and client history all work without an internet connection, so a connectivity failure never delays a client at the desk.
What changes
The difference after a few weeks
Commission without arguments
Attribution is captured at the moment of service, so month-end statements are produced in minutes and accepted.
A fuller appointment book
A shared calendar removes double bookings and makes staff utilisation visible.
Packages honoured correctly
Session balances are tracked automatically, protecting both the client and your revenue recognition.
Consumables under control
Linking usage to services turns an invisible cost into a measured one.
Clients who feel remembered
Visit history and preference notes let any staff member deliver a personal experience.
