The problem

Why jewellery needs specialised software

A jewellery sale involves a calculation that changes every day, on stock where each item is unique and extremely valuable.

  • Prices that change daily

Gold rates move constantly, so a fixed price list is meaningless and manual calculation invites errors on high-value transactions.

  • Making charges applied inconsistently

Different staff quote different making and wastage percentages, which either loses margin or loses the customer.

  • Every piece is unique

Two items of the same design differ in weight, so stock must be tracked piece by piece, not by quantity.

  • Old gold exchange

Customers bring old ornaments to offset a purchase, which requires valuation, deduction and a clean record.

  • Advance orders and custom work

Made-to-order pieces involve advances, karigar assignment and delivery dates.

Why this solution

Why jewellers choose OfflinePOS

Jewelry Store POS performs the full price calculation from the day’s rate, keeps piece-level records with weights and purity, and documents old gold exchange so both sides agree.

  • Daily gold and silver rates driving all pricing
  • Making charges and wastage by percentage or fixed amount
  • Piece-level stock with gross weight, net weight and purity
  • Old gold exchange with valuation and deduction
  • Advance orders with karigar assignment
  • Complete audit trail on high-value stock

Built for jewellery store businesses

Jewellery pricing is calculated, not looked up: metal weight at today’s rate, plus making charges, plus stones, plus tax. Jewelry Store POS performs that calculation consistently and tracks every piece individually.

Weight, rate, making and stones calculated on one screen.

How it works

A day in the system

From stock arriving to the day closing, this is the loop your business runs every day.
  1. 01

    Set the day’s rate

Enter the current gold and silver rates each morning so all pricing follows automatically.

  2. 02

    Tag incoming stock

Record each piece individually with gross weight, net weight, purity and design code, then print its tag.

  3. 03

    Quote and sell

The system calculates metal value, making charges, wastage and stone value into a clear invoice breakdown.

  4. 04

    Accept old gold

Value the customer’s old ornament by weight and purity, and deduct it from the invoice with a documented record.

  5. 05

    Handle custom orders

Take the advance, assign the karigar, and track the piece through to delivery.

  6. 06

    Verify stock

Reconcile physical count and total weight against the system regularly.

Reporting

The numbers you will actually look at

Every report is available on screen, as PDF and as Excel, for any date range you choose.

Offline-first architecture

Jewelry Store POS keeps working when the internet does not

Your business should not stop because your connection did. Here is what offline-first means in practice.

The terminal holds its own data

Products, prices, customers, stock positions and settings live on the machine at your counter. A sale reads and writes locally, so nothing in the billing flow waits on a server response.

Sales complete without a connection

Scanning, billing, discounting, printing, returns and stock updates all work with the network unplugged. There is no queue of "pending" transactions holding up the counter.

Terminals reconcile when connectivity returns

When the shop network or internet comes back, terminals exchange the transactions recorded while they were isolated, and the back office reflects the complete picture.

Connectivity is used, not depended on

When you do have a connection, it powers off-site backup, remote reporting and multi-branch consolidation. None of those are required to make a sale.

Jewellery businesses handle high-value transactions that cannot wait for a network. Jewelry Store POS runs entirely on your own machine, keeping rate-based pricing, invoicing and stock records available at all times.

What changes

The difference after a few weeks

Not features, outcomes. This is what businesses tell us actually changes once the system is running properly.

Consistent, defensible pricing

Every quotation follows the same calculation from the day’s rate, removing staff-to-staff variation.

Piece-level accountability

High-value stock is tracked individually by weight and tag, which makes verification meaningful.

Old gold handled cleanly

Documented valuation and deduction protects both you and the customer.

Custom orders on schedule

Advance, karigar and delivery date tracking keeps made-to-order work moving.

Complete records offline

High-value transactions are never dependent on connectivity.

FAQ

Jewelry Store POS questions

Something specific to your setup? Ask us. We would rather tell you honestly whether we fit than sell you the wrong thing.

How does daily rate pricing work?

You enter the current gold and silver rates each day. When an item is selected, the system calculates the metal value from its net weight and purity at that rate, then adds making charges, wastage and any stone value to produce the final price.

Can making charges be different for different items?

Yes. Making charges can be set per item, per category or per design, as a percentage or a fixed amount, and wastage percentages are handled separately.

How is old gold exchange recorded?

The customer’s old ornament is weighed and valued at the applicable rate and purity, and that value is deducted on the invoice. The received metal is recorded as stock so it can be tracked through to refining or resale.

Is each piece tracked separately?

Yes. Because every piece differs in weight, stock is maintained at individual item level with gross weight, net weight, stone weight, purity and a tag code.

Can I manage custom orders and karigars?

Yes. Custom orders record the specification, advance payment, assigned karigar and expected delivery date, and are tracked through to completion.
